We can accommodate and organize private SHAMISEN & KYOGEN experiences for groups up to 20 people.​

We collaborate with MK, a talented Musicologist and Shamisen performer and with Asano-san, a wonderful Kyogen artist.

We are the only place in Kyoto delivering on-demand Shamisen & Kyogen performances & experiences in English language.

What is SHAMISEN? ​

It’s a traditional Japanese music instrument.
Its particularity it has three strings.
It is played allover Japan with many different styles

​

What is KYOGEN?

Kyōgen is a form of traditional Japanese comic theater.

Masks used in Kyogen are called “omote”

 The masks are carved out of wood and painted,

some of which are highly valued as pieces of art.
